As the oldest in an Italian Family of five, good food was part of my upbringing. All through my
life I have enjoyed creating fresh meals for my family or even catering to larger family events. I always had a garden in my yard even while living in a busy suburb outside New York.
While gardening and art were always my passion I needed to earn a living to help raise my three young girls after I got divorced so I went back to school and became a nurse. I spent 18 years working in a hectic emergency room.
As my children grew and left home, I found myself turning back to
my passion of good food, balanced with nature and art. I left the busy suburbs behind and moved to New Hampshire where I eventually married Doug who shares my same drive for a more balanced life.
While I continued nursing Doug retired after 30 years as a professional Fire Fighter and tends to the farm full time, developing more and more gardens on our property.

We believe that we are part of the earth and we need to protect and co-exist with the environment around us. Wanting to do no harm as well as contribute something instead of just taking we transitioned to organic farming. We believe that if you work with nature you will get the best freshest food and balance of life.

Together we built Odey Farm. We began to sell our vegetables and llama fiber at local farmers markets. While at these Markets I had the opportunity to see various art works including some decorative gourds. Thus I found my opportunity to create art from nature which I sell at the markets and local art fairs. I am also available to do special commissioned work.
My schooling includes graduating from The Norman Rockwell School of Art through a correspondence course, attending school in Washington DC for interior design, and taking various art classes.
Whether it is using a gourd to chronicle the birth of a new grandchild, burning a picture of your favorite animal or creating a magical light, I find it truly satisfying to create art from a gourd.
